Base Open Day - 29th April 2017

On Sat April 29th we will be having a "Base Open Day" and welcoming the public to find out more about VMR Raby Bay. The occasion will mark the official launch of our new building extension, presided over by local dignitaries, and there will be lots of fun for the whole family. We will have a sausage sizzle and tours of our base and boats running from 9am-3pm, and there will be displays/stalls by Bayside Suzuki Marine, TS Norfolk Navy Cadets, Bayside Outrigger Canoe Club, Wellington Point Marine Tackle & (unless called away to an emergency) Qld Fire and Emergency Services. The day will also feature talks by VMR Crew, Gobbler Lures, Bill Corten and a live flare demonstration starting at 10am. We will also have balloons and face painting, so it's sure to be a fun day for the whole family, plus a monster fishing gear raffle and associate memberships available. So if you've ever wanted to find out more about VMR Raby Bay, come on down and join us for a good time at our Base Open Day!!!

It's a Sign!

Goodwill Swing to Save

Active members of VMR Raby Bay donated their time and a considerable amount of fuel to assist Save the Children Australia with the Goodwill Swing to Save on October 23 - 25. Enengex Medivac served as the pickup vessel, with RB IV transferring the swingers back to the Maritime Museum.

Training Days

Gary Radford and Tom Hudson from Marine Rescue Queensland provided training to members from several Moreton Zone VMR units as well as watch keepers from South Passage.

Riverfire Extravaganza
