Zone Training at Raby Bay

This weekend there will be combined zone training at the Raby Bay base. Gary Radford will be running the AMSA approved Elements of Shipboard Safety package.

New members of VMR Raby Bay will be joined by their colleagues from other VMR units this weekend, as Gary Radford and Tom Hudson, both from the training group of Marine Rescue Queensland, present the new MAR based Elements of Shipboard Safety package. This package includes live firefighting, abandonment of vessels and safe use of marine flares. This is the first step of the VMR training package, which ultimately leads to a nationally accredited commercial coxswain licence.
